Both of these birds were a few feet apart on a pier in South Daytona
. One of the many challenges of photography is trying to make white, just that, WHITE. The camera automatically tries to make everything a shade of gray. Therefore, white is never white without camera adjustments. When taking these two photos I made some adjustments and the white in deed appears to be white. One other point is, I tried to have a very small point of focus. The eye's and surrounding feathers are in focus and as you move away from these areas the remaining part of the bird is not in focus. I did this to draw the viewer towards the color or the most interesting part of the photo, the Eye's.
